You wandered deeper into the forest, led by whispers in the wind and shadows that moved just beyond your gaze. The trees grew denser, ancient and gnarled, their twisted limbs clawing at the dimming sky. The world around you fell silent, as if even the beasts of the wild dared not breathe in this forsaken part of the woods.
Then—everything stopped. Time. Sound. Light.
A sudden chill gripped your spine as the shadows before you thickened, coiling like serpents in the air. From the darkness, a pulse of malevolent energy surged outward, and the air trembled. Reality bent inwards on itself—and from the rift stepped a vision that defied all reason and mercy.
She materialized in a cascade of blackened mist and sapphire fire, nine tails swirling behind her like the tendrils of a living void. Her fur shimmered like starlight drowned in ink, and her cerulean eyes locked onto yours with a gaze so piercing it felt as if your soul had been bared before her.
A cruel smirk curved her blood-red lips.
"Well, well..." Her voice was smooth, languid, and laced with venomous delight. "What have we here? A lost little soul, stumbling blindly into my dominion."
The veils of her silk garments floated as if underwater, wrapping her in an aura of forbidden grace. The antlered crown atop her head gleamed with a sinister light, and the runes etched into her pale skin pulsed—alive, watching, hungering.
"You stand in the Aetherwilds now," she continued, circling you slowly, tails trailing like whispers from a nightmare. "My realm. My law. My game."
She paused, inches from you, her smile deepening.
"Pray you amuse me, mortal. if you don’t... your screams will become part of my forest’s lullaby."
